Set up and other important information

Hello again, we are just a few days away now. New information is highlighted in red.

NEW INFO REGARDING PLASTIC BAGS: Lawrence has a new city ordinance as of March 1, that bans the use of “single-use” plastic bags. Unfortunately, this ban applies to our show. We ask that you DO NOT bring or use recycled grocery store bags at the show. Paper bags are OK to use.

EARLY SETUP: Friday, 4:00 – 8:00. Not mandatory, but useful to move in heavy items and set up complex displays.

DAY OF SHOW SETUP: Saturday morning, 7:30 – 9:45. We will open the doors to the public at 10:00 sharp.

NOTE: Please plan more time than you think you will need. We will be closing the garage door at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday whether you are in or not. At that point, you will have to load in through a side door.

SIDE DOORS/SMOKING: I understand that many people use the side doors as a place to smoke. This is OK, but we do not want attendees using those doors for entry, and want them locked when the smoking area is not in use. Please help us with this, and please do not litter.

FOOD: The snack bar will be staffed. It can be assumed that it will be normal snack bar fare. Dogs, burgers, burritos, drinks, etc. If you like, you may bring in your own food before the show starts, and during the show. Also, there are several fast foods in the immediate area, such as Subway, Sonic, Taco Johns, and a Quick Trip. We ask that you not bring or consume alcohol at the show.

LOAD IN: Please be courteous with other exhibitors when moving in and out of the hall. Don’t block the garage door, and please leave room for dollies and hand trucks with heavy stuff to get in and out.

PARKING: Please park your vehicles on the road that stretches out to the East from the garage door. This opens up the main parking lot for attendees.

CHECK-IN: Please check in at the garage door on the east side of Building #21. You will be handed your exhibitor packet and event wristbands.

WRITSBANDS: We allot as many as 2 wristbands per booth or table. We will give you as many as you need up to that amount. [Example: you have 2 wall tables, which entitles you to 4 wristbands.] Additional wristbands can be purchased at time of check-in for $5 each.

LOAD OUT: Load out will begin at 4:00 when we open the garage door, and continue until everyone has left the building.

ADDRESS: Building #21 is located at 2110 Harper St, in Lawrence. If coming from KC, it is easiest to take K-10 and get off at the 23rd Street exit. The button below will take you to a google map, and from there you can get directions.
