Hello,

It’s Craig from the Freestate Comicon, writing to remind you of your participation in the upcoming Freestate Comicon on Saturday, September 7. I thought it prudent to also pass on the details of set-up, food, show hours, etc.

EARLY SETUP: Friday afternoon setup will begin at 3:00 and run until 7:00 Friday evening. This is optional, but useful if you have a large setup. Please check in at the garage door on the east side of Building #21.

SATURDAY SETUP: We will open the door for all show participants at 7:30am on Saturday morning. The show will open doors to the public at 10:00am. We ask that you be there before we open, and give yourself enough time to be fully set up and ready by 10:00. The show ends at 5:00pm, and we ask that you stay until the show is officially over. You will check in at the garage door on the East side of the building to get your info packet containing wristbands, tax forms, and meal ticket.

FOOD: The snack bar inside of building #21 will be fully operational, serving breakfast burritos, burgers, BBQ sandwiches, walking tacos, drinks, cookies and more. You are also welcome to bring in your own food and drinks. No alcohol, please. We are not permitted for it.

SALES TAX: We are required by Kansas law to distribute forms for you to remit sales tax to the state. They are very simple forms, tied to the show.

SATURDAY PARKING: Please park along the gravel road that stretches east from the garage door. This is a safe place for your vehicle, and opens the parking lot up for paying attendees to the show.

WRISTBANDS: Each booth or wall table will receive up to 2 wristbands per booth or wall table. Example 1: three wall tables = 6 wristbands. Example 2: one corner booth = 2 wristbands. If this isn’t enough for your large posse, additional wristbands can be purchased for your people at time of check-in for $5 each.

CANCELLATIONS: Life happens, and sometimes exhibitors must cancel. We have specific rules and timelines related to cancellations. If you MUST cancel, the earlier, the better. As we approach the show, it will be harder and harder for me to react to a cancellation, and this is why I ask that anyone who needs to cancel, please use your phone and CALL. I will not hear a text notification. Remember, fans and attendees are hoping to see you there. Please consider cancelling a very last extreme option.

Finally, thank you for being a part of our 19th year and the 17th annual FREESTATECON!

Safe travels, and see you soon,

Craig Klotz
